TONY PADILLA
PASSION
Anyone who know's Tony, truly appreciates his love for music & performing. Born and raised in Rochester NY coming from a family of eleven siblings, had a big influence on his background. His parents Ramon & Frances Padilla from Puerto Rico moved to the U.S. back in the early 40's and were proud owner's of a food retail store Padilla's market. This had a huge influence on his pathway to learning to play percussion. Countless hours of practicing in the basement of the store eventually opened many doors to networking in the music scene. He currently is a national touring artist with The Mambo Kings who have established quite a reputation performing with Symphonies throughout the country. He has shared the stage with some reputable artist such as Steve Gadd, Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D'Rivera, Lou Gramm, Randy Brecker, Sister Sledge and many more. Tony also performs percussion workshops for students which is one of the most inspirational classes a student can experience. Facilities such as Eastman School Of Music, The NYS Music Teachers Association, a variety of Colleges, High School and Elementary schools throughout the US have enjoyed his presentations. He is currently a performing educator for an organization called "Teaching Artist ROC" which is located in Rochester NY. As the propreitor of Primetime Entertainment Tony is active as a performer, studio session artist & educator.
